Street glam
There’s a particular kind of elegance that absolutely slaps outside of studios or controlled environments! Jayme arrived in a dusty pink evening gown that immediately disrupted anything that was going to make sense on the street. We layered her with jewels and a fur coat, to sharpen the contrast — to let glamour collide with the rustic nature of the bitumen, graffiti and abandoned trash.
We shot through the industrial estate of Byron Bay and into the night, the dark alleys of Mullumbimby. Abandoned objects, peeling walls, scattered debris — less props, they were part of the environment already there. One moment she was framed against graffiti walls, the next caught in fractured reflections of broken glass, light splitting her into multiple versions of herself.
The edits followed that same logic. Some frames were stripped into black and white, pushing everything but the Muse into the shadows. Others pushed colour to the edge — vibrant, alive, almost electric against the ally ways.
